Why jetting lasts when cabling does not.
A drain cable, or snake, breaks through a clog and opens a channel. That restores flow, but it leaves the grease, scale and root hair still coating the pipe wall, so the line closes up again before long. That is the pattern behind a drain that needs cabling every few weeks.
Hydro jetting is different. It sends water down the line at high pressure through a special head that scours the full inside of the pipe. Grease that had set solid, mineral scale from our hard water, and fine root hair all come off the wall, so the pipe is left closer to its full bore.
It is not right for every pipe. Old, cracked clay or fragile cast iron can be damaged by high pressure, which is why we camera the line first to confirm it is sound. On a healthy line coated with grease or scale, jetting is the clear that actually holds.
